A Turning Point?

A coincidence of events give the me the impression, if not the substance exactly, that things are turning around.

There was the housing starts report today, as well as the wholesale pricing index or whatever it was. Both were mildly positive. I overheard someone at work who's been looking for a house for his family say that he didn't get a home he had bid on because 6 others had bid on it, 4 offering cash. And my grandparents were finally reimbursed on an insurance claim they filed months ago, which should help resolve some financial worries they've been having.

Have we reached bottom? My gut says it kinda feels like it. My intellect says brace yourself for more bad news shortly that will sweep away this little spark of optimism.
