May Blossoms

My good, what a sissy headline. It's usually around this time of year that I take notice that the jacarandas are blooming. For instance, see this post from last year.

This year, I also noticed that the pineapple guava trees are blossoming. I usually notice this. But I had never noticed the coincidence between the two tree before. There is a hedge of guava trees near my office. The guava fruit won't come to autumn, but the blossom are edible and, to my taste, more delicious than the fruit themselves.

If you pass a tree and see these blossoms, take a moment to graze on a few of the white petals.
